 Monkey's Uncle

Monkey's Uncle

Monkey's Uncle formed in August of 2001 after the members' TV show, a sitcom set in a Milwaukee brewery, was cancelled because network executives thought Milwaukee was too boring for television. After licking each other's wounds for three months, M.U. debuted its new incarnation: a pure games-based, short-form improvisational comedic ball of energy. Having performed at such great venues as Stella's Coffeehouse, Bovine Metropolis, Jazz@Jack's, Avenue Theater and Coco's Mom's basement, M.U. believes in one thing: really turning the car around if you kids don't stop behaving like little savages.

Grandma Hates TechnologyGrandma Hates Technology

Grandma Hates Technology is a two-person comedy team featuring Stand-up Comedian Mike Weiss and his 13 year-old daughter, Jessica. This show asks (and possibly answers) the question, “Can a Middle School Student and a Middle Aged Man perform improv together without driving each other crazy?”

 SansScript Players

SansScript Players

This artful fun-loving group swirls together on stage, playing like a bunch of soul mates from the school yard. Performing weekly for the past two years at the Bovine's long form showcase BMX, the SansScript Players premiered and developed their own long form improv structure 'Whirl.' Using their singular brain, they create dynamic and hilarious moments within scenes and even in those normally quiet spots between scenes. In their continued quest for heightened play, they've recently absorbed Del Close's Harold into their scene play, turning this time-honored form on its head. This group will leave you laughing and amazed, trying to explain what just happened.
